Ashok Healthcare · Yeshwanthpur, Bengaluru
Ashok Healthcare's physiotherapists visit your home in Bangalore to treat pain, stiffness, weakness and balance problems, and to guide recovery after illness or surgery. Each session follows a plan built around your condition, your home and your goals.
Physiotherapy at home is treatment given by a qualified physiotherapist in the patient's own home. The physiotherapist assesses movement, strength, balance and pain, then uses exercise, hands-on techniques and, where appropriate, electrotherapy to help the patient move better and manage symptoms. It suits people who find travelling to a clinic difficult or who need to practise skills in their own surroundings.
Home physiotherapy has a practical advantage: the therapist sees the real stairs, the real bathroom and the real bed the patient uses. Exercises can be designed around these, and safety advice is specific rather than general. For older adults and people recovering from surgery or a stroke, avoiding the journey to a clinic also saves energy for the session itself.
Ashok Healthcare offers home physiotherapy for a wide range of conditions. For specialised programmes, ask our coordinator about stroke and neuro rehabilitation or orthopaedic rehabilitation after surgery.
Older adults often lose strength and balance gradually, which increases the risk of falls. Geriatric physiotherapy focuses on safe exercises to improve leg strength, standing balance and walking, as well as practical skills such as getting up from a chair or bed. The physiotherapist can also recommend walking aids and simple changes at home. For seniors who need daily help, physiotherapy can be combined with an attendant from our elderly care service.
The first visit is an assessment. The physiotherapist asks about the problem, reviews reports and prescriptions, tests movement, strength and balance, and agrees goals with you. Later sessions combine guided exercise, hands-on treatment where useful and practice of everyday activities. You will receive a simple exercise plan to follow between visits.
If pain is severe, sudden or accompanied by symptoms such as weakness, numbness or loss of bladder control, see a doctor first.
Our physiotherapists visit homes in Yeshwanthpur, Mathikere, Malleshwaram, Rajajinagar, Peenya and Jalahalli, and other parts of North and West Bangalore subject to therapist availability.
For many conditions, yes. Most physiotherapy relies on exercise and hands-on treatment, which work well at home. Some conditions need clinic or hospital equipment; the physiotherapist will tell you if so.
Sessions usually last 45–60 minutes, including assessment of progress and exercise.
It depends on the condition and your goals. The physiotherapist will suggest a plan after the first visit and review it as you improve.
A referral is not always required, but it is helpful, especially after surgery or a stroke. Share any reports and prescriptions with the physiotherapist.
A clear space, a firm chair and comfortable clothing are usually enough. The physiotherapist brings any portable equipment needed.
